Team Dynamics among the Crusaders
I love how much Jotaro is not the centre of Stardust Crusaders.
He’s hardly the main character - he’s almost more like the team’s secret weapon.
Joseph is generally seen by the other characters in the show like how you’d expect a main character to be seen - DIO’s goal is to kill Joseph, and the crusaders see Joseph as the leader and the source of comfort, not Jotaro;

For example, when Jotaro, Joseph and Kakyoin break in during Polnareff’s confrontation with DIO, Joseph is standing in the centre, and Polnareff shows relief by specifically calling out Joseph’s name, not saying something like “Guys!” to refer to the whole group.
Aside from Joseph who’s his grandpa, none of the other character’s closest relationships are with Jotaro, but mostly with Polnareff. Joseph is perceived as the leading centre of the group, and Polnareff is the centre of most of their relationships - the heart of the group.
I think this is really cool because like… Jotaro is clearly the main protagonist but he’s not the main CHARACTER, if you know what I mean? Jotaro is the tank, he’s the one who ends things, but he’s far from being the emotional or leading core of the main group. The great thing is that him being like that fits his character perfectly, since he’s such a withdrawn, quiet person.
That’s one of the reasons why the crusaders are my favourite team in JoJo. They are not all the most developed characters compared to later teams, but, to me personally, they have the best, warmest and most relatable relationship dynamics.
